If you’re like us and have tried restoring a retro bike or building a cafe racer, you know that wiring and electrical work is the part most of us dread. There are some fantastic tools out there to help modernize and simplify motorcycle electrical systems (we’re a big fan of Motogadget), but here at Uzu Moto, we want to make things as simple as possible.
If you’ve ever made a mistake in your custom wiring harness, or even just wanted to add something new, you know that tearing apart the wrap, cutting wires, and resoldering/recrimping connections sucks. It can easily turn an hour-long session into an hours-long session, not to mention shortening your wires. All because your front-left turn signal was accidentally connected to your rear-right turn signal.
Our frame-mount wiring aids are designed to solve two problems at once; make solid connections that can easily be moved if needed, and provide cleaner ways to manage your wiring. First, find a portion of your motorcycle frame with at least 2 inches of straight steel tubing (usually under the gas tank is an ideal spot). Then, use the provided heavy-duty zip ties and secure the frame-mount wiring aid to the frame. Last, simply tighten the nut on our Frame-Mount Terminal series, or push up the clip on our Frame-Mount Lever Nut series to create a solid connection.
The best part? If you need to change up your wiring, you no longer need to tear apart your harness and re-solder/re-crimp connections. Our lever nut series in particular makes rewiring a breeze. We hope that these products make your next motorcycle wiring project a little bit easier.
